We currently are at a Silver Award Level, and are working to complete three pathways to reach our goal. Our focus this year will be on energy, biodiversity, and schoolyard habitats. This club will be open to students from Kinder through 5th Grade and meetings will take place after school. (Students 3rd grade and under need to be accompanied by an adult.) Meetings will be held once a month on Wednesdays.  If your child is attending, please make arrangements to pick them up outside of school at this time or indicate if they will be walking/riding home.  Contact for more information.

Young Rembrandts:
Young Rembrandts offers art classes for kids. We bring in-person, interactive drawing classes to your children! Local drawing lessons are available after school throughout the greater Austin area, including Austin, Cedar Park, Dripping Springs, northern Hays County, Lakeway, Pflugerville, Round Rock and Westlake. Our preschool drawing, elementary drawing and cartoon drawing classes complement and expand existing art programs in local Williamson and Travis County schools. Young Rembrandts provides all materials, top-quality instructors and curriculum for weekly drawing classes. Our classes are built to be fun, but children who participate in Young Rembrandts local art classes increase verall academic skills, fine motor skills, social skills and confidence.

Sticky Fingers Cooking:
Sticky Fingers Cooking classes and camps benefit both the students who participate and the community as a whole in a few ways:

  • By providing comprehensive education and inspiration directly related to the role of real foods, cooking, and nutrition in promoting health and wellness.
  • By being interdisciplinary—students practice cooking skills while learning cultural, nutritional, linguistic, and geographical information about foods from around the world. Students also practice math skills, seeing scientific concepts at work, and developing an environmental awareness of where real food comes from.
  • By promoting transferable skills that are easily replicated at home through take home recipes, application of newly learned cooking skills, as well as enthusiasm and an expanded palate for new foods.
  • Lastly, by imparting students with a sense of pride in their hard work and tasty creations!

Participating in Sticky Fingers Cooking classes helps build independence, persistence, and confidence in students as they work to create meals, skills which benefit students both in the classroom and at home.
