Welcome to Boone! We are so excited for you to join our family this fall! Please make sure to complete the following three steps. If you have any questions please contact us at boone@austinisd.org or call 512-414-2537. Only the parent or legal guardian may enroll a student in and Austin ISD school.
FIRST: If you have not completed the online portion of registration, go to https://portal.austinisd.org to set up or log in to your parent portal account. At the end of the process, you will upload any documents you have ready.
- birth certificate
- immunization record
- proof of residency (current utility bill-electric, water or gas; lease or closing papers if it is a new place of residency )
- parent/guardian ID
If you have already completed the online registration, scan and email the supporting documentation listed above to boone@austinisd.org.
SECOND: Please complete and submit the "Boone Bear Student Info Sheet" form found below which will assist in class placement for your student. In addition, all parents are required to complete the Home Language Survey. (Please see below)
THIRD: Some students new to Boone may need to complete the "Home Language Survey" form. If this is the case for your student, we will contact you to let you know. Prior to school starting in the fall, you will sign a hard copy of the Home Language Survey. (Please see below)

Changes to Local Policy FDB: Admissions: Intradistrict Transfers and Classroom Assignments were approved by the AISD Board of Trustees on April 27, 2015. The changes impact the admission of priority transfers into frozen schools (i.e., schools with no available space). There are three types of priority transfers: majority-to-minority, sibling, and tracking.
Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, in an effort to relieve overcrowding, majority to minority transfers will only be accepted at campuses where space is available. Space is not available at frozen campuses. A list of campuses that are frozen will be posted on the AISD website later this week.
