No Place for Hate Designation

Boone has received this designation for six years in a row. No Place for Hate is an Anti-Defamation League initiative which helps schools organize and develop projects that enhance the appreciation of diversity and foster harmony amongst diverse groups. The campaign empowers schools to promote respect for individual and group differences while challenging prejudice and bigotry. Austin ISD is the largest No Place for Hate school district in the nation.

In order to earn this designation, a student leadership group develops three school wide activities which promote respect, learning about others, honoring others and developing a sense of community as Boone Bears.
